2010 Fashion for Paws :: Washington, DC

I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images from one of my favorite events of the year: Fashion for Paws, a cutting-edge fashion show for model fundraisers, local celebrities and doggy models, all benefitting the Washington Humane Society. I’ve been shooting this event since the first year and it keeps getting bigger and better. All told, the event raised over $320,000 to benefit the much-needed programs of the Washington Humane Society. This post has a ton of images, so let’s get to it:

Kristina Robertson of Barkley Square Dog Bakery & Boutique dresses Scarlett. Delightings provided over 1300 cupcakes for the event!CW/VH1′s Paul Wharton interviews the driving force behind Fashion for Paws, Tara de Nicolas. Tyson’s Galleria provided the fashion for the two-legged models.

Celebrating the Opening of Paws, Purrs & Exotics Animal Hospital

Last weekend we were honored to be part of “A Day in the Park,” which marked the opening of Paws, Purrs & Exotics Animal Hospital. The event was a fundraiser and adoption event for the Washington Humane Society, as well. They raised quite a bit of money, and got a dog adopted! In addition, the Washington Times wrote a piece on Drs. Perkins and Vyfhuis today!

We had a good time (and lots of food!), and I documented the day for PPEAH. Many thanks to Andrea Rodgers for helping pull the event together and the folks at PPEAH for their hospitality. Here are some of my favorite images from the day:

Dogs were treated to Reiki, a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Caren Quinn provides these services for dogs. Contact Barkley Square Bakery if you’re interested!
