Remy :: Golden Retriever

Don’t tell all my other canine friends, but I have a huge soft spot for Golden Retrievers, especially puppies. I grew up with a Golden named Hennessy who was the sweetest, most gentle dog I’ve ever seen. So I was more than excited when Karla wanted a photography session for her new Golden puppy, Remy.

Remy is a little fluffball of love. The biggest challenge of the shoot was that every time I knelt down to take a shot from his level, he would run over to lick me. That is until he got so tired from playing out in the leaves that he fell asleep in the kitchen when we got back to his house.

I thought the out of focus leaves created an interesting background.

I love how Remy matches so well. I think this was his first time on the couch, but he promptly got off and went back to his spot in the kitchen!

    I just love the picture of Remy on the sofa. He looks so elegant–like a grand duke waiting for tea at the Plaza Hotel. All he needs is an ascot and some Gucci loafers…

    You wouldn’t believe how much bigger he’s gotten since these were taken! The pictures are awesome and I can’t thank you enough for capturing Remy at his cutest!
