Fidojournalism
is a way for me to combine two lifelong loves - dogs and photography.
Our family's dogs have provided me with companionship and
joy over the years. My first pet, a Golden Retriever named
Hennessy, used to sleep underneath my crib. He truly was a
member of the family.
My love of photography started almost as
early, but it wasn't until 2004 that I started photographing
weddings professionally. My style is photojournalistic
or documentary, telling a story through images that capture
moments candidly. I want to bring that same aesthetic to pet
portraiture.
I have my own family now, including two
dogs - Jingles and Cooley. It's been so much fun to capture
them doing everyday things as they grow up - running around,
going to the park or just napping on the couch.
These unscripted moments capture the true
essence of our pets, their personalities and our relationships
with them. Through photography, we can hold on to them forever.
