Rugby is the sweetest black lab you’ll ever meet. And she is ALL retriever. All she wanted to do was chase squirrels, chase toys and chase tennis balls. So that’s what we did for her portrait session!
Meet Rugby. She loves to look out the window, watching for something to chase.

If it’s not the front window, it’s the back gate, where the squirrels taunt her from the other side.

The only thing better than chasing squirrels is a peanut butter Kong!
Then we went across the street to the tennis courts where Rugby likes to play fetch. I think she was wondering why all those humans were hitting her chew toys with rackets…
It was overcast and a little dreary, but the blue court really added some nice color.
I always look for little details that show clients’ devotion to their pets. This doormat says it all. In fact, after our shoot I was exhausted, but Rugby was headed out to the dog park for some more fun!
That doormat is awesome too haha..
