There are few events in DC that are as fun and have as much impact as Fashion for Paws. Last Saturday was the 5th annual runway show and fundraising event to benefit the Washington Humane Society, and they raised a whopping $525,000! Last Thursday, we attended Critters (and Couture) for the Cure, a wonderful event to raise women’s cancer awareness and much-needed funds. Women cancer survivors and their furry companions worked the ‘catwalk’ in spring fashions by Bloomingdale’s, along with Doggie Couture of New York. Critters for the Cure was created to promote breast cancer awareness through the love of critters. We’re excited to work with CftC on some projects this year! Read more →
This was without a doubt the toughest year to judge the Unconditional Love Contest. We received some wonderful stories that made us laugh and touched our hearts. I wish we could photograph all of these families!
Ultimately, the judges agreed that Kelham the Goldendoodle and his family had an amazing story of love and deserved to win a free session. I think you’ll agree. Without further ado, here is the story of Kelham:
