A Day in My Life

I don’t usually post stuff from my “other” job as a wedding photographer for Love Life Images, Inc., but this was too fun not to share. Each year we have a day where we take a camera with us everywhere and shoot our lives from morning til night. We turn it into a fun photo story slideshow. Of course Jingles and Cooley make their appearances, so I guess it’s somewhat relevant to this blog. 

The shoot was Wednesday, which happened to be a day when our day care provider was unavailable, so I “had” to bring our son Ryan to the studio with me. Of course he made his way into nearly every shot, so it’s really a story of his day. But my life pretty much revolves around him now, so it makes sense. The logistics of getting an 8-month old ready while shooting pictures was a bit tough, but we had fun. 

For my photographer friends, this is a really fun exercise and helps you think about how to make every moment into a picture. There’s always a picture to be made, even in the seemingly mundane. This is the second year we’ve done this, and it’s great to have a snapshot (no pun intended) of my life and to see how things change from year to year.

Oh, and since I should post a picture with every post, here is Ryan trying to kiss Cooley. We’re trying to get the dogs to stop licking him in the face, but it’s tough when Ryan WANTS to go in for the kiss!
